It’s because of this friendship, and the manner in which Ms. Jones writes it, that has the readers rooting for Dune and Micah to make it as a couple. We want to see them happy, we want to see them in love, and we want to see that two people with supposed commitment issues can stay true to one another.

Reading this book, and also Chiaroscuro, I feel like watching one of these old tv fiction, with a family full of brothers and sisters, everyone with a story which get intertwined with the story of the others, every scene adding a little point to a huge tapestry. At the end of the all that, you will have full image, made by little pics one near each other.

Watching Micah find his center and develop his inner strength was exciting. The events really tested his mettle and he passed with flying colors. It is a good author that can successfully redeem a “flawed” character and make it real. Jenna Jones did more than that; she turned him into a knight in shinning armor.

For readers and fans of Chiaroscuro, Something Beautiful is a follow-up story worth reading. And although this is a sequel it can be read as a stand-alone.

Coffee Time Romance

I love how she builds a relationship out of long-time love and not out of love at first sight. Micah is a wonderful and confused man who is learning to stand on his own feet and be an adult. His angst is so real that one moment I wanted to slug him and the next to hug him.
